Suara Air di Malam yang Sunyi
Suatu malam, saya sedang bertugas malam. Semua lansia sudah tidur, dan suasana di dalam fasilitas sangat tenang.
Saya sedang menulis dokumen di ruang perawat sambil minum kopi ketika saya mendengar suara aliran air dari suatu tempat, "Choro... choro..."
"Eh? Apakah ada yang pergi ke toilet?" pikir saya, lalu saya pergi melihat ke koridor, tetapi tidak ada siapa-siapa.
Karena merasa aneh, saya mendekati sumber suara itu dan melihat bahwa ada sedikit air yang keluar dari keran wastafel. Bukan menetes, tetapi keluar sedikit dengan suara "choro choro" yang halus.
Padahal, saat saya memeriksa sebelumnya, keran itu pasti sudah tertutup dengan rapat... Namun, tidak ada siapa-siapa di sana, dan tidak ada tanda-tanda bahwa pengguna lain yang menggunakannya.
Akhirnya, saya menutup keran itu dan kembali ke ruang perawat dengan tenang.
...Itu saja sih, tetapi karena saat itu tengah malam, saya sedikit merasa takut.

静かな夜の水の音
ある晩、私は夜勤をしていました。利用者さんたちは全員寝ていて、施設内はとても静かでした。
ナースステーションで書類を作成しながらコーヒーを飲んでいると、どこからか「チョロ…チョロ…」という水の流れる音が聞こえてきました。
「ん？誰かトイレに行ったのかな？」と思い、廊下を見に行きましたが、誰もいませんでした。
不思議に思いながら音のする方に近づいてみると、洗面所の蛇口から水が少しだけ出ているのが見えました。ポタポタではなく、細く「チョロチョロ」という感じでした。
さっき確認したときは、ちゃんと蛇口が閉まっていたはずなのに…。でも、誰もいないし、利用者さんが使った様子もありませんでした。
とりあえず蛇口を閉めて、静かにナースステーションに戻りました。
…それだけのことでしたが、夜中だったので少しだけゾッとしました。

"Huh? Did someone go to the restroom?" I thought, so I went to check the hallway, but no one was there.
Curious, I moved closer to the sound and saw that the faucet in the washroom was letting out a little bit of water. It wasn’t dripping; it was just a faint "choro choro" sound.
I had checked earlier, and the faucet should have been properly closed... but there was no one around, and there were no signs that any of the residents had used it.
I quickly turned off the faucet and quietly returned to the nurse station.
...That was all that happened, but since it was in the middle of the night, I felt a little creeped out.
